DEBUNKING THE WATER BOTTLE HOAX
Because even good science and health reporters can’t be expected to know everything about everything, some newspapers contract with experts to respond to reader queries about health and environmental issues. One such is the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Attached is an article written by a university dietitian debunking “two widely circulating email hoaxes” about water bottles – one that the water bottles leach dioxin, and the other that they leach a phthalate.
